This Saturday I’ll be leaving the park office around noon heading out to Whipple State Nature Preserve’s Twin Leaf Trail. It’s a great early wildflower display with lots of beautiful dolomite rocks, sink holes and great views of the Ohio River. I was thinking of getting away from the fog-shrouded North Coast for a camping trip to Shawnee this weekend, and this post seals it – thank you! Whipple is one of my favorite places and I have yet to catch it this early in the spring, so I’m looking forward to this hike.
